After peaking at 5000 billion FCFA in 2019 (BCEAO), private consumption in Benin began to decline by 4.5% in 2020. This decline which can be explained by a drop in income following the closure of borders with Nigeria and undoubtedly the gloomy conjuncture of the sanitary-economic crisis of covid-19, is already provoking reactions. The main questions relate to recovery policies.
